AUDLEY SELLING BODEMEISTER’S DAM

BODEMEISTER AS A YEARLING
(Edited: Blood-Horse) The dams of two of this year's Triple Crown stars, I'll Have Another and Bodemeister, will be offered at the Fasig-Tipton Kentucky November select mixed sale. Brookdale Farm, the sales arm of the Seitz family's Brookdale Farm, will consign both mares to the auction, which is scheduled for Nov. 5 in Lexington.

Arch's Gal Edith, whose I'll Have Another captured the Kentucky Derby and Preakness, is in foal to Gio Ponti  . Untouched Talent, whose grade I winner Bodemeister finished second in the Derby and Preakness, is in foal to Unbridled's Song.

Untouched Talent is an 8-year-old daughter of Storm Cat and the A.P. Indy mare Parade Queen. She won the Sorrento Stakes Gr.3 and the Juan Gonzalez Memorial Stakes in 2006.

Bodemeister is Untouched Talent's second foal. In addition to his classic effort, he won the Arkansas Derby Gr.1 and finished second in the San Felipe Stakes Gr.2  this year. An earner of $1,304,800, he captured two of his six career races and finished second four times.

I'll Have Another, who was injured prior to a scheduled start in the Belmont Stakes (gr. I), will enter stud next year at Big Red Farm in Japan. Bodemeister, whose retirement was announced Aug. 21 after the diagnosis of a shoulder injury, will enter stud in 2013 at Kenny Troutt's WinStar Farm in Kentucky.
