VIRGINIA DERBY DAY STAKES WINNERS

Leading rider Sheldon Russell brought LENTENOR'S into the winner's circle for the first stakes win in the career of Barbaro's full brother.  Trainer Leigh Delacour saddled the winner of the $50,000 Kitten's Joy.
Rook returned to the Tippett winner's circle to sweep the 2-year old stake double with ZIP CASH BACK for trainer Tevis McCauley of McCauley Farms.  Rook delivered the winner on the front end.
VOLCAT dug in with Robby Alvarado aboard for trainer Kenneth McPeek in the $150,000 Virginia Oaks.  The three-year old filly is owned by Saltville, Virginia native Bob Struder of Landaluce Educe Stables.
