GOOD TAILGAITING AND MORE STILL AVAILABLE FOR STRAWBERRY HILL AT COLONIAL DOWNS

According to Colonial Downs, there are approximately 200 vehicle tailgate spots available, so there’s plenty of time to still get your group of friends together and plan a day out at the Strawberry Hill races at Colonial on June 2. To purchase one, call Colonial Downs at 804-966-RACE.

Also, there will be 12 races instead of the usual 5, and there will be wagering on all of the races. Betting tents will be located in every tailgating area.

There’s also a general admission ticket available this year to purchase in advance for $9, or day of for $12. That ticket either allows you to join your friends at their tailgate party, or simple bring in your own beverages and food and enjoy the action trackside or in the grandstand seats.

There’s also an infield party where you can set up pop up tents along the inside rail area and carry grills and coolers into that area as well.

Pre-race festivities include terrier races and skydivers.

Colonial Downs is giving away Strawberry Hill prizes thru their Facebook page, including a chance to skydive into the winners circle before the first race that day! It will be a tandem jump, courtesy of No Limits Skydiving.
