RESPONSES TO NY TIMES RACING STORY

The New York Times has published a handful of letters after its “Mangled Horses, Maimed Jockeys” story of two Sundays ago.

Virginian Jim Carter sent the Times a letter and they published an edited version.  To read the letters, click here. 

Andrew Beyer wasn’t particularly pleased and said as much in a piece in the Daily Racing Form which drew this response from the NY Times. 

Paul Moran had this to say over at ESPN.com calling for, among other things, a long overdue national governing body for racing.
