With Jessica Bowen in the irons, retired race horse Colebrook Lake won two blue ribbons in his first hunter trial by jumping his way to champion in his division at the November 21 Deep Run Hunt Hunter Trials.
Excelling in his second career, the 12-year-old is again in the winner’s circle. Bowen commented “he was soft and responsive and had as much fun as I did.” The solidly-built, dark brown gelding is adapting well to his new life as a sport horse.
