Former NFL All-Pro and member of the Hall of Fame Sam Huff of Middleburg is as passionate about horses as he is about the currently miserable Washington Redskins. Huff provided color, as he has for many years, on Sunday when the Redskins lost to the lowly Chiefs, but on Saturday night the 75-year-old native West Virginian gamely stood in the steady rain to award trophy after trophy to the winning owners during West Virginia Breeders Classics XXIII.Huff, co-founded the event with longtime partner Carol Holden in 1987. According to an article in the Northern Virginia Daily, "The miserable weather be damned, Huff made certain he was in the winner's circle to pose for every picture, shake every hand, offer each an individual congratulation."
